WoodTrust Bank Announces New Branch Location in Manitowish Waters, WI

Wisconsin Rapids, WI:  WoodTrust Bank (“WoodTrust”), a leading provider of banking, trust, and investment management services in central and northern Wisconsin, is pleased to announce the opening of its seventh full-service location. The new branch will be located at 5987 County Highway W, adjacent to Trig’s Village Market in the vibrant community of Manitowish Waters, WI.

When the decision was made by a regional financial institution to divest from the greater Manitowish Waters community, the opportunity for WoodTrust to fill that gap made logical sense and the expansion is aligned with the bank’s strategic growth plans. Steve Bell, WoodTrust Chairman, stated: “We have long hoped to establish a physical presence in the Manitowish Waters area. As private business owners, our family began visiting the community in the early 1950’s and have been property owners in the area since the early 1980’s. WoodTrust is fortunate to already have a significant customer base in the community and we are pleased to invest in this new location to better meet the needs of both existing and future clients. Our family views this to be a very long-term commitment to the community.”

The new WoodTrust lease will officially begin on January 1, 2024 and WoodTrust management hopes to be up and running soon thereafter. “It will take some time to ensure the systems, data processing capabilities, IT infrastructure, personnel, and security apparatus are up and running.,” said Chad Kane, WoodTrust President. “We will push as fast as our vendors will allow to become operationally proficient and, in the interim, we are building out a streamlined process to serve customers through our other locations in Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids, and Plover prior to the official opening date.”
