Community Involvement
SERVE THE COMMUNITY. It is our intent to remain a
privately owned, community-based financial institution
where we continue to invest our resources back into the
communities we serve. We will provide support through
monetary donations and other volunteer assistance as we
deem appropriate.
Community service has always been a critical component of the
WoodTrust Bank Mission & Values, and we are exceedingly proud of
our associates and their commitment to the community. In addition
to long-term participation in the YMCA, United Way, and Opportunity
Development Center, the associates of WoodTrust Bank are
actively involved in more than three dozen other
community organizations.
WoodTrust Bank has provided significant direct contribution
assistance and additional monetary support through the WoodTrust
– Bell Foundation. Since the Foundation’s inception in the mid-1990s,
over $1.6 million has been donated directly to local organizations,
including a strong commitment to higher education for area youth.
Scholarship assistance is designed to reach a wide variety of students,
as awards are not only based upon scholastic achievement, but on
volunteerism and other youth activities.
