WoodTrust Bank, N.A. Gives back to the Community
August 6, 2010
WoodTrust Bank, N.A. sponsored the "Turn Back the Clock Night" with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters Baseball team on Tuesday July 13. As part of this promotion, the Rafters wore replicated Rapids Twins uniforms during the game with the WoodTrust Bank logo on the right sleeve. The Rafters then hosted a silent auction during the game and fans were able to bid on the game worn uniforms with the proceeds going to two charities of WoodTrust Bank’s choice: South Wood County YMCA and the South Wood County Humane Society. Raising a total of $1,883 from the silent auction shirts and hats, checks were presented to Bryan Bailey, CEO of the YMCA and Phil Hartley, Executive Director of the South Wood County Humane Society. Steve Bell, Chairman and CEO of WoodTrust Bank notes, “We are very happy to have organized baseball back in Wisconsin Rapids and congratulate the Rafters' organization on the excitement they have brought back to our community and Witter Field. We had a lot of fun sponsoring ‘Turn Back the Clock Night’ and are very happy to provide the proceeds to two fine organizations—SWC YMCA and SWCHS.”
WoodTrust Bank began operations in Wisconsin Rapids in 1891. Presently, the company is one of the largest privately owned, full-service financial institutions in central and northern Wisconsin.
