Please notice we have changed and shortened our name to WoodTrust Bank from Wood County National Bank. WE HAVEN'T CHANGED OUR OWNERSHIP, OUR WAY OF DOING BUSINESS, or even the basics of our logo- and in most respects you won't notice any differences in our products, services or attitude. In the coming months, you will see new signs and additional correspondence reflecting our new name, but please understand, we are still deeply committed to customers like you and to the community oriented values that have helped us prosper ever since we opened for business in 1891.

So, why the change? In 1996, we opened an office in Plover, WI (Portage County), and last year we purchased Mortgage Professionals, Inc. in Wausau, WI (Marathon County). We have also experienced great success outside of Wood County through our trust and asset management affiliate, WoodTrust Asset Management. As a result, "Wood County National Bank" just didn't seem appropriate for our many new clients in Portage and Marathon counties, nor did it properly reflect the relationship with our trust company.

In searching for a new name, we took great care to preserve our first name(Wood) and our last name (Bank), and have added a word that best describes why our clients bank with us: TRUST. That's how we became WoodTrust Bank.

One name, one message and one way of doing business.
